Hopefully a Black Knight 2000 owner can help a brother out.

With freshly burned as well as older BK2K ROMs, during coil test, the AC relay will fire to enable C side flashers but the main enabling transistor (1C - 8C) never fires. i.e. In test, the C side flashers never fire. This happens with two different known working MPUs.

Does your game do the same thing?

    Thanks in advance.

I think I have the answer, thanks to Jim Palson @ JT Amusements.
Switch 2 is an indicator in the switch matrix that the AC relay is in either the A or C position.
Whirlwind fires the C side flasher no matter what.
Black Knight 2000 requires switch 2 to be in the correct state before firing the flasher.
Switch 2 is an opto-coupler on the interface board.
