Isn't there like 3 people on earth left who know how to repair those things? I'd love to have one, but I imagine keeping it running would be a nightmare.

No, easy. They are built like brick shithouse. clean and some lube, about it. No different the EMs. Schematic helps.

I had someone contact me about a Bally Yacht club they want to sell. It looks like an interesting Bingo machine, I have not seen one with the overlapping cards feature.

They tell me the backglass is 95% and looks great and the cabinet looks good except for where someone pried the front door open. It worked 100% a few ago when he last played it but now the slide the that holds the balls in the holes keeps cycling open and closed so a game won't start.

Anyone care to give me a recommendation of what a fair price range would be?

Also if you are interested send me a PM and I would be just as happy to pass along the guys contact info to someone who really wants it. The game is in central PA.

The playfield is from a Golden Gate.

    #109 10 years ago

Bally made Golden Gate and Silvers Sails close in date when they manufactured them.I know of other SS that share the GG playfield and have seen many mixed and match cabinets and backglasses too. I guess Bally used what they had in stock when they made the run of these two machines. Sooner or later i'll find a SS playfield and drop it in my game. The two games are perfect twins and all parts fix in each others games.

Here's another Bally bingo i hunted and caught, but sold because i found a near mint Gay Time to take its place.. This all original Gayety is sensational condition!

That Gayety is a superb example of a beautiful old bingo.

    #111 10 years ago

Nice Gayety Vic. I have seen more Gayety's than any other bingo. Very popular and fun game. I agree with your assessment of the Golden Gate-Silver Sails mismatched playfields. I have seen too many of these arrangements for it not to have been done at the factory. I have an extra Silver Sails playfield if you want to make yours correct. E-mail me at [email protected] if interested.

Any problems with the solid state bingo Vic? I've always wondered how they hold up. I assume there is some sort of Reflex Unit built in. How does it compare to its EM counterpart?

These electronic bingo are wonderful to the serious bingo player. Once you fix all the problems they operate perfect.
They are very quite bingos and won't wake up the kids when you play them late at night. Tons of features the EM bingo's couldn't incorporate in their bingos, which makes for an interesting player.

I have a beautiful 6 card electronic called NEW CONTINENTAL GOLDEN that was part of the ten Miss Bowling Turbo i got in the package deal. This 6 card game a serious bingo player can lose thousands of dollars playing it in a few hours. It has a multiplier which a player can increase to 15 times the amount when they coin up at the start of the game and can be reward big hits or replays in the thousands.

A player can also buy 5 extra balls which calculates how many coins you need to buy the extra ball. Bally's last EM 6 card game called Dixieland can't compete when it comes to features and large payouts.I have pictures of the NCG if anyone interested i can post.

These are real nice cabinets that can blend in nice in any room around the house.Check out pic's.

$200 Bally "Yacht Club" just came up on eBay. Located in W. Massachusetts. Bingo dudes (read Vic Camp), please weigh in. Is this a good player? I passed one up at the York show several years ago. Jimmy Rosen of "Old Sled Works" had it for sale. It was down to something like $40. Bob B from PA (bingo collector) snagged it. I believe he did restore it and had it for sale for wicked coin. I kinda regret not grabbing it. Love it for the artwork alone. It looks pretty unique with that wide bingo card. So let's hear it, is it worth it?

    #135 10 years ago

YES.............. If you like this particular type of Bingo. The cabinet and Backglass are in decent condition.
Since it is not working ( which could mean few or many problems ), I wouldn't pay more than $400.

    #136 10 years ago

I will be joining the bingo club one of these days. Cut my teeth on a couple of EM pin restorations & have gotten over the initial learning curve. Ready to graduate to a bingo once I find an inexpensive (& unmolested) project.

Yacht Club is a great player like most of the early 1950's nickel Bally bingo games manufactured. It's loaded with features that will keep a serious bingo player interested in gambling their cash away at a try for a "big hit" payout. The artwork and wood rails throughout the game are beautiful to view and the coloring is so attractive to the eye.How could anyone not want one for $40. I wish one would come my way.

"Night Club" is a great playing bingo with the turning corners feature. Vic Camp had one in his collection at one time. I helped him deliver it to the lucky buyer when he sold it. Vic is more or less a 6 card guy, but he's had a variety of different bingo games over the years. Yes, he had a "Variety" too; but sold it to Joe N in PA.

Night Club is a great player like most other early 1950's woodrail bingo pinball machines. Turning the moving corner numbers (16 numbers in total) makes a player get a crack at beating the game for replays an easy task. Quadruple scoring makes for some big payout to when in line "hits" are completed. The "Bally Hole" which is number 16 on the playfield when lit will award an extra ball to a player.

    #148 10 years ago

Yes, and virtually everything is inside the head, it's rammed full. The cabinet is nearly empty. That's why the head of a bingo, especially the magic screen bingos, with the larger head, are so heavy.
