I always enjoy seeing surviving examples of modified gambling games that show the lengths operators went to in their cat-and-mouse survival game with the authorities. Here is one of the most ambitious and gorgeous efforts I have seen: A Bally Spot-Lite rebranded as “42nd and Broadway.” The entire odds have been scraped off the top of the backglass and replaced by professional art that really pops. Nicely done, but it does raise the question of why an operator would reuse the “Broadway” name, Bally having released the "real" Broadway earlier in 1951. Just asking. Listed on Craigslist at $750 in San Jose.
