Quoted from AUKraut:Keeping this alive, my money is ready on this theme JJP!!!
The check is in the mail
Quoted from TouchingEvil:The check is in the mail
LOL
It's all in the reflexes.
This is one of the most quotable movies of all time
Quoted from RCA1:Preordering anything never seems to go well.
This is gonna take crackerjack timing, Wang.
Probably, but we can read when we waiting
Please let jjp or sterns next pinball be Big trouble in little china, when are they tell about their next pin ?
I've been sketching out some ideas on how to convert one of my games (Gottlieb Gladiators) to a BTILC theme. I really love the layout of Gladiators but the rules could be a lot better plus the scoring is all over the place. I am a graphic designer/animator so the artwork and lcd animations are right up my alley. However, I have little coding experience so I have been reluctant to drop money on Proc hardware until I can confidently say I am up for the challenge. If I ever get that far, I'll start a thread in the Homebrew forums.

Nice! Looking forward to that project
I've got a playfield that I'm hoping will be my Big Trouble retheme. We'll see how it goes with the one I'm working on now.
Great film, great art. If I could choose a John Carpenter/Kurt Russell combo I would prefer The Thing but I would gladly take this in a heart beat.

The Thing is, of course, a masterpiece, IMO. But I wonder how it would translate into a game. It's essentially paranoia and body horror. The horror games that seemed to make a transition were more humorous like Nightmare on Elmstreet. I can just see the playfield toy being a dog's head that flowers open into a monster, but aside from that, it's a hard sell.
BTiLC, on the other hand, is just goofy, completely quotable fun.
As much as I would love this game to have the JJP treatment, it seems more like something down Spooky's alley.
I'd absolutely love a big t in little c pin. Better yet just give me a John Carpenter pinball machine. I want every movie up until mouth of madness, his last true masterpiece in my opinion. Can you imagine I'd be like twilight zone with just a mash up of stories. Prince of darkness, Halloween, escape from New York, the Thing, they live...oh man what a dream.
Quoted from doublestack:they live
This would be a great theme, and could have some cool modes with the subliminal messages on targets or inserts, and some sort of sunglasses mode where new features show up. So long as the 6 minute fight sequence is included
The good old Pork Chop express!
You make it and I will buy it. Cash in hand. I will even let you choose the game it will take it's place.
Quoted from ASOA:Is anyone else out there looking for a Chinese girl with green eyes?
No, but too
Killer theme for sure. Stern would fuck it up big time, guaranteed.
Would be great if it was made and were able to get cast member(s) for some call outs. What's a day of call outs from Kurt Russell cost?
My progress is excruciatingly slow. I think I've been lapped by snails at this point, but my LW3 to btilc retheme might be finished before the next century.
Still waiting my bigtroublegame.com that was due in November and has slipped to March or April for the art and minis to repurpose.

That game is taking forever. On the bright side, they are including some posters so you could probably get some nice scanned art to use in your game. There is some good art in the Boom comics as well (although not the same style).
Yeah, I have all the comics and I plan to mine them heavily as I can’t even draw a stick figure, but they changed artists a few times and I’m not fond of the later versions. The game has some images online that I’ve already mentally placed in various areas.
I seriously don’t remember this movie being a big deal when it came out. Nobody talked about it. Has it gained more popularity in recent years?

probably wasn't a blip in the theater. It had a huge following on VHS, especially in the late 80's with kung fu's popularity.

Thanks. I just might have been a little too young still to notice.
