I hope this isn't a duplicate thread, if so, please let me know. I thought we should start consolidating our thoughts and recommendations for polishing off the the Big Lebowski game code, which is now about 45% complete. I'm sure DP has a map to get there, but maybe we could help them with ideas to take it to the next level. There have been great thoughts about the game in other threads, but maybe it's best to place these all in one place. Keep in mind, I think the current code is genius so far, so this is definitely not a critique. So, here are some starter ideas:

1 - Match sequence. The stage dancing is cute, but I'd like to see a couple of other options cycled through for variety. Maybe the Volkswagen guy could show that picture of Bunny's parent's farm to the Dude and it would contain the match numbers. Or, they could be at the bottom of a White Russian glass, or when the Dude hits his head on the pornographer's glass table.

2 - We need more options at the scoop, if nothing more than some points for hitting the dang thing. More points and stuff like White Russian drinks.

3 - Speaking of scoring.....more points in general, it's kind of lacking in that area.

4 - Obviously, the bowling alley needs some work to get real hits and scoring in place.

5 - Install some combos, especially involving that loop up on Walter's ramp (more scoring opportunities). By the way, I love the rules up there so far.

6 - More game play instructions, on the LCD if nowhere else.

7 - Maybe not so tight shutting down mode scoring of shots. One thing I like about Stern games is being able to make a last shot in some modes right as I've drained. Kind of a consolation/lifeline thing. A probation period to get a Multiball going again like Disc Multiball in Tron would be nice.

8 - Install a few smaller, non-insert linked modes, like perhaps a "reactionary" Sheriff of Malibu hurry up, or delivery of Walter's undies at the ransom event. Similar to STTNG Ferengi, Cardassians, etc.

9 - Get the "video artist's" laugh in there in a few places, that's one of the best parts of the movie to me. Also, what about a "log jamming" event so that we can fix the cable?

10 - Most important of all, we need the Marmot in the bathtub sequence in all it's glory and.......pain.

How many people actually own this title? I'm guessing less than 60.

Actually, you are high. At this point, it's probably around 30 in possession of the game, but they are fantastic limited urban achievers and I'll vouch for every one. There are hundreds on tap waiting to "fix the cable" though.

I noticed a few people mention it, I somewhat disagree. Between the rules card, the blinking inserts (name trails) and explicit instructions for the rug modes (other than maybe completion) .. seems completely adequate? None of my other games give more than that?
