The last time I played my Big Hit a couple months ago, it was fine. Now when I hit the start button, the score reels reset but the game won't start. Normally I would shoot the ball by pressing the right flipper button and the flippers are active, but neither of those work now. I have no idea where to start looking. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!

One of the last things in the start up cycle, is a closed outhole switch. maybe take the ball out and activate the switch a few times then try again.

Exactly how far is it getting in the startup sequence?

There are no outholes, so nothing to test on that.

No outhole? When the ball drains from the playfield, where does it go? It goes into the outhole. Check again, there is one, and a switch that activates when the ball drops into the hole.

I don't quite understand all the details in the list of sequence, but it sounds like it gets at least through number 4. All the score reels reset. The next thing that would normally happen is to just press the right flipper button to shoot the ball out of the middle into the playfield but that doesn't happen. Normally the left flipper would also be working, but it is not.

This is where it goes when it drains.

There's a switch where that ball sits too...

If the Ball Return switch doesn't activate the Ball Return Control relay (Q),
Inspect and diagnose this circuit with Alligator clip jumper wires
