Not really a pro at pin repair but I've fixed a few things in my day. Was replacing the GI in my Big Guns when the entire left side went out suddenly. None of the connectors look burnt, wiggled the wires in the IDCs and nothing changed. After some reading on the System 11 repair guide (http://techniek.flipperwinkel.nl/wms11/index1.html) I was testing my right and left GI relay boards and the right WAS working, left was not. (The right relay would fire and the lighting would turn off) After a few test of the right it stopped working and now my right GI is stuck on (think I may have killed the relay) needless to say I pulled my MPU/DRIVER and started digging into to try to diagnose what's going on but I'm having a hard time figuring out the lamp matrix as to where to start diagnosing. I'm mostly a vid guy so a lot of this is foreign to me but any tips/help would be greatly appreciated. I assume one of the TIP transistors took a crap on it but it'd be nice to have a general idea of where to look. I tested all the TIP 122s with my meter (diode mode) and they seem to be within the range described in the page. I also tested the TIP42s but Q60 right lead seems to be reading high (.9) juxtapose the rest (.75) which is higher than described but it's consistent with the rest of the TIP42s.
At any rate, thanks for reading this and any help you can offer.
