We have LED's that ghost but the plastics even clean are dark enough that the only place it's annoying is the multiplier (8 led's) in the middle of the PF.

Shawn,
I put super bright LED under my ramps ( 4 SMD) and it lite them up like a chiristmas tree
I got the led from comet pinball they are the faceted natural white
actually I have mine set to kill all 10 guards in 20 seconds, just got a few extra balls along the way.
Quoted from Chitownpinball:I had mine set to 20, but it seemed too hard for my demographic of pin players I usually have in house. I myself havent saved the queen more then once in a game yet though. Im just over 4mil for my high score. This will probably change as I usually go down when my xmas party starts winding down and pound out a ridiculous score in my stupor. Has happened the last 3 years, every year.
Saving the queen also gives you a ridiculous
amount of points, when I saved her I suddenly had 5 million, so it probably had something to do with the really high score I got in the end
Just rolled the score on big guns for the first time ever and saved the queen for the second time! 10,072, 530. I need to set it to a harder level at this point
Quoted from Skrippy:I'm in the club as well! Picked it up yesterday! I'm super happy with it!
The only problem with mine is the right cannon is maladjusted, so it hits the wireform weird, and the ball usually either falls out to the upper flippers or dribbles down to the lower playfield.
And know if this is an issue with the wireform of the cannon itself?
you can loosen the screws that hold down the wire form, I think there is a total of 4 screws, they are easy to see and get too. Just realign the wire-form and until the ball hits it correctly. Its not hard to do.
also check the screws that hold the switch to the play field, they come lose and the switch will just hang there and not make contact. that has happened to me several times and I keep having to screw the switch back to the underside of the play field to get the cannon to work correctly
Here is the manual it has the wire diagrams and parts list so that you get the right part instead of something that is close. Dont use Marco unless you really have to try bay area amusements or pinball life instead.

Unigroove,
Big Guns is a great first pin and we learned a lot about fixing pinballs on our big guns. Doesn't have a deep rule set but it is fun to play. I have had mine for about 7 months and don't get tired of playing it every day
Hope you Big Guns goes to a new loving home Probably will never get rid of ours at is was our first Pin and the one we learned how to fix Pins on.
finally painted the legs and coin door on Big Guns to match the orange on the cabinet and play field. Haven't done the back legs yet as you can see from the photo, next weekend for those. 10003798_474427136016195_869815022_o.jpg1801148_474427216016187_1427223315_o.jpg14518_474427186016190_1620418696_n.jpg1559464_474427189349523_1671932215_o.jpg
depending on your flipper color, orange would probably look good to. Haven't got them yet, but will be purchasing super bands soon
my bats are green, the previous owner painted them that color as he didn't like the way they looked. they look pretty good except I got some black bat covers, Halberds and swords that don't show up at all. So I will be switching to white soon.
Quoted from skywelker:Mine occasionally repeats the "Get" in "Get back in there". Kinda randomly, I just assumed it was a sound glitch.
Nope not a sound glitch they all do that
Quoted from Spybryon:I moved my game to new location and I am getting occasional canon shots missing the ramp that catches the ball. I never had this happen at the old location.
I haven't put a level on the playfield but I felt that the game had become steeper than in it's previous location. Probably due to the floor itself not being level. I didn't adjust the height of the feet at the bottom of the legs at all.
Does it sound like leveling the game to say 6.5 degrees help with this issue or should I be thinking and checking something else?
The ramps are adjustable and probably need to be readjusted. If you loosen the screws holding the ramps you can move them. I had to do it with mine as the ball kept hitting the edge of the ramp and falling into the play field. You have to play with it to get the adjustment correct, but once you do, you shouldn't have to readjust them
In January I had my big guns at Jax arcade expo, first year for this show. Big guns got 365 plays during the weekend. This was a relatively small show with approximately 50 pinball machines. Big guns was a rock and did not go down once other then a drop target getting stuck which was quickly remedied. Got a lot of complements on the game
once you reach all 9's it flips the score back to 0 and starts over again, one of the draw backs of having only 7 digit display. One of the reasons Williams went to a 16 digit display in the 11c machines. my highest score ever on this machine was 10,653,260. You have to keep track of the score yourself as it wont display it as a high score at the end since the machine only thinks you have a score of 653,260
Quoted from Chitownpinball:LOL, what are you gonna do with THAT?
Save the Queen!
I got it from a company from china, quick shipping was great to do business with
Quoted from Geremy13:I want one?!.......... Fantastic!........ where do we get one.

now you just need to put LED lights in it. The backboard looks awesome with LED did it with ours and came out great
Quoted from smitherssp:Greetings,
Just picked up a BG two weeks ago. Decent condition outside of some surface rust and dead bulbs. I've performed the usual maintenance and she's humming along. The only strange thing is that the the 89 flashers up top/center are constantly on at 31.5V. I tossed in some 1251 bulbs and it's like staring into God's flashlight. Anyone have any idea what root cause would cause this type of failure mode? Bad resistor on the lower board? Shot diode on the Aux power board?
Thanks!
Smithers
Sounds like you have a closed short to the bulbs. Run the diagnostics and see if you get an error message. The manual for this machine if you dont have it is here http://mirror2.ipdb.org/files/250/Williams_1987_Big_Guns_Manual.pdf. the Lamp matrix is on page 52 an tells you which wires go to those flashers, I would start there and trace the wires.
lamp test diagnostics can be found on page 27

Also I see you are getting an error popper front left. if I am not mistaken that popper is tied to the flasher, which means the short is probably there. If you look at the second page you will notice on the solenoid table the ball popper flasher. gives a list of wire colors, transistors, solenoid etc. Start your trouble shooting there
Good Luck
