So upon turning Big Guns on it blows the F4 fuse on the AUX Power board.

It's a 2 amp Slow-Blo I triple checked the manual JUST to make sure I'm not an idiot.

I've only got one 2 Amp Slow-Blo fuse left and am hesitant just to throw it in.

It blows the fuse when the solenoids for the cannons and VUK in the middle check to clear the balls out if there are any.

I have had to replace this fuse before, twice but never this often. It just started doing this tonight.

Any thoughts?

Please and thank you.

I saw the Taxi thread, about it being the knocker that causes his F4 fuse to blow out upon start up and gave his fix a shot.

With the Knocker disconnected the fuse still blew. So, at least I know it's not that.

Still searching bump.

Barakandl, I'm pretty useless when it come to the DMM... I can check fuses to see if they're good or not, but that's about it. What settings would I use.

Also, been real busy lately haven't had time to do anything really.

By downstream, do you mean, What do you mean? forgive my ignorance.

I want to get better at trouble shooting stuff like this, but knowledge is... little , If I may.

So, I figured F4 blowing and hurray! But as we all know if It's not one thing, it's another, upon start up F2 is now blowing, and it doesn't seem like a fully blown fuse as the DMM still tones out on the fuse but it's a lower tone then a normally good fuse. I do see the fuse heat up.

I've been shopping the game out and have rebuilt the flippers added LEDs and two Spotlights to the GI so they shine on the upper side of the playfield since it's real dark. They work exactly like the rest of the GI, but it wouldn't totally surprise me if it's the problem.

I'm don't particularly feel like it's the flippers being rebuilt since those are fuses F5 and F6.

The F2 fuse is 25 V.D.C. A.C Select according to the paper stapled next to the board.

Also, my Soldering Iron was plugged in and turned on (I wasn't soldering anything) could that have that kind of effect?

Though with my limited knowledge, that doesn't real tell me much, and I'm not the great at reading schematics, yet.

I'd to thank everyone for offering there help, thus far!

I did not see any solder splashes where I was soldering after through checking....

I tried a new fuse with with the spotlight unsoldered from there sockets.. Same result...

So I don't think that's the problem... Still working, need to pick up more fuses.

How does one make that specific fuse breaker?

Ah, well, I may have taken "Make" a little seriously

Looks like I'll head to Frys tomorrow since they seem to be the only place with them.

Also, why blown fuses? I'm curious?
