Hey all -

I'm sure there's an easy trick here that I'm missing, but how does one go about replacing the fat yellow post sleeves near the cannons? The post flanges are much larger than the hole on the rubber - like 1/4" too wide. Do I have to somehow stretch the rubber over the flange? That seems nearly impossible! Please tell me this is something simple that I'm missing.

Thanks in advance!

Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Yeah. Slice the old one open with a razor. It's old and hard.
The new one you should be able to stretch over the post.

Nope. I ended up having to cut out a bunch of rubber from the interior bottom of the new rubber on an angle, making it a tapered center, effectively. This, plus dish soap, plus a rubber mallet, and a ton of elbow grease, eventually got them on. I ended up ripping a part of my thumbnail off in the process to boot. Good times!

I'm guessing that the rubbers I got from Terry @ Pinball Life maybe were just extra hard or maybe NOS and just old and hard? Whatever the case - a real PITA!
