Quoted from Xenon75:One issue I hope other owners can help out with is the wiring for the flippers. Mine is a hacked mess, so if someone could please take a photo their flipper wiring, it would be greatly appreciated.
i can help, let me know a day or 2!
Good! I will try to make your life harder this week end! Competition is on!
result monday morning with pics to prove the score!
Better to remove the target assembly...
Normally I unscrew the coil (need to remove 2 screw), unscrew the plate with the switch (two other screw) and after that the four screw that hold the assembly in place. now you have a free drop target assembly to work with...
After that dissasembled everything and clean everything and reassembled... put it back and voila!
Really important to have your spinner turn fast, when it's lit, the one on the left is 2000 point by turn!
Had my best game friday night also! Classis stern can be really difficult sometimes!
Keep us informe with your progress on the game!
Also check the wire that goes from the sound board to the MPU... I had reset probleme with my F2K and it was the probleme!
Bad week end for me too... best probably around 1100 000... nothing spectacular... didn't have much time to play also!
Congradulation to chuckwurt!
Remove my playfeild for a socket job, a lot of them are flacky, so new socket every where... Except for the bingo card
Quoted from rollitover:That is BY FAR the most beautiful Big Game playfield I have ever had the pleasure to see. Not an envious man but I do wish mine were better. Nice machine Red!
Thank's Rollitover
I have a friend of mine who is amazing with touch up and did an incredible job on my big game bonus score card... I did the rest my self. This is the only game in my collection that didn't have a complete clearcoat job... Maybe a project for next winter...
I'm in for the tournement!
3 ball with factory setting is the way to go!
Quoted from Classic_Stern:Your collection is impressive. Keep going.
Thank's Classic stern
I really like this old classic stern game, but i have space for only 10 games... So collection is pretty much done! All the game have clearcoat playfield except Big Game. All have new socket and complete extensive shop job. I have all ready 3 cab restauration done (fathom, iron maiden and stargazer), Flight 2000 is the next one for the cab.
I put little bit over 2 000 000 saturday afternoon, but was not enought
Congradulation to chuckwurt!
It' s a pic from the internet to show what i think should be a good alternative... I don't know nothing about board, maybe not so difficult to do, maybe impossible!
I'm interested for sure... I have couple bulb that are flacky and if I had a reliable option I would take it.
Was ready to order, but 41,80$ to ship it to canada... with the exchange rate, it's 56$can for three little board... real turn off! And this is only shipping...
Quoted from chuckwurt:Bummer. Wonder if you email them and see if there is another way.
this what I have done!
Quoted from zacaj:Temporarily joining the club... Fixing this one up and will probably pass it along to a friend:
Have party this weekend and needed to get ge Z card working quick (X and Y are pretty reliable), so I busted out my soldering iron:
Had a lot of interesting problems, but it pretty much works now...
Two questions though:
1. If I cradle a ball on the lower flipper and then release the flipper to make a shot, the ball gets trapped in a little nook between the upper flipper, the end of the lower flipper and the metal guide, which sits lower than the lower flipper. Is that normal, or are my guides mounted wrong?
2. I tried to put the backglass in, but it's very hard to do because the lower 7 digit displays stick out past the slot for the glass. The holders are mounted on the inside of the insert like they should be, but the glass is still basically touching the displays?
I always put a washer between the holders, that put the display a little farther inside and make and extra protection for the backglass, i did that for all my bally and classic stern!
Quoted from chuckwurt:I'll sell ya my stock ones. Dirt cheap. 60 shipped for the whole set. Haha
I will buy it if you are serious!
I will take the risk... i can give 15$ more to cover the shipping cost... for all 5 display. Let me know, i can paypal you!
good score Drano!
Playfeild look pretty good and no fade in th Backglass red!
Big game is a pretty fast widebody when she is set correctly!
Catacomb is probably my favorite classic stern, but you need to understand and play the bagatelle to really appraciated it
Quoted from cottonm4:Done. I put my high score up. Redketchup put up his high score on November 11, 2015. I brought my Big Game home on November 28, 2015.
I was only good enough to play 5 ball games for several months and then switched to 3 ball games and never looked back.It is those little mods that help so much.
Bravo!!!
