Hi everyone
I have acquired a 95% (I think), Gottlieb Big Brave 1974 2 player almost working game.
The playfield lights need addressing, this I think would be useful to know what part of the sequence is.
I don't exactly know how its intends to work but I'm sure someone here can enlighten me.

Have the schematic and trying to understand the sequence but believe there to be a few basic problems from what I have been reading.
Amongst other things I have to clean the score reels to enable them to zero smoothly.
I click the "N" relay which is the "tens" and it activates the "M" and rolls over the hundreds. The "L" rolls over when manually activated,
however the ten thou is sluggish! this is player 1 Side.
The player reel is on the cam and activating the switch.

All play field Pop bumpers rollovers ,targets reset ,chimes seem to function or at least to how I recollect.
I've not played pinball for at least 25 years, maybe more.

Anyways any help would be appreciated.
Will be an interesting project
Thanks in advance.

Thanks I've been reading these valuable resources at http://www.pinrepair.com/em/

New to pinball repair and been taking heed of the do's and dont's.
Have to start somewhere!
However the score reels do not reset properly. They are part of the reset sequence.
Also been reading a lot about just the basics Steve Fury and you tube. Again a very very valuable resource.

Ok i plug the unit in. Power on!
Game over light is flashing.
The red door switch does not appear to start anything, but the relay with bar across coin mechs activates.
When i manually press the "S" relay the score motor will rotate and then stop .

There is a credit on the replay reel.
Player 1 tens reel will attempt to rotate and that seems to be where it hangs up no other motion after that. Score motor is stopped.

It never seems to shift to player 2 to enable that side to reset ,not sure as to when that is suppesed to happen.
Can this be simulated with no ball in and playfield up?
I think its at #3 on the above sequence. Both these sequences look familiar.

P.s. i obtained this about 3 years ago and was not known to be working at that time. Just pulled out of storage to begin working on.
The score motor i replaced back then as there was a stripped gear ,appears to be working, wether properly or not remains to be seen.
Anyways thats where im at.
Many thanks for the replies!

Thank you for you replies.

I will look at testing this when i get home this evening with test leads.
other observations are:
when i press replay button it latches relay on door then unlatch when released.
pressing the coin switch to emulate coin in.
score motor will start and the "Bonus reel stepper starts indexing.
your answer to above was it keeps running.
The only way to stop is to manually touch "U" to reset bank and will stop.
no point do the score reels attmpt to zero.
The score motor always stops (when it stops)with the switch on top 3 D ? on one of the three pegs.
This is the logigal place for it to stop, for me anyways!
I did notice PB relay second from the end active until i manually reset.
The bonus reel has a contact missing from the EOS on the stepper before its end of cycle.
I do have schematic if that would help i could mail you if needs be.
Mine i bought had creases in many place and another member had redrawn .
Also the total play unit has not advanced, dont know if this is relevant.
