I would remove/reseat jones plug associated with playfield. Look for damage/corrosion/loose pins. Then confirm your hold relays and associated switches are good/working.

What's odd is that I was in middle of game and it just went dead.
I don't have the schematics but I know there are usually a couple switches directly in the power path which if not closed would instantly cut power. Make sure all the switches are making good contact when closed. Make sure latch relays have solid closure. You can also test power at coils to see if something else may be causing the issue. Power at coils would obviously mean the PF has power. Maybe confirm tilt switches are proper too.
