So I'm going to call that 3 great games (no need to say which 3). That's a great year. There are quite a few other years with 3 great games. 1981 and 1978 come to mind.

Doh. Bigd1979 just posted the list and it included Getaway as well. F it, 1993!!!

1980 and I don't think its close. Still looking.

Edit: Oh yeah. 1980 without question.

    Yeah 79-81 was pretty amazing.

Really cool to look at the different years. I'd probably stick with sometime in the 90's simply on preference of type of game, but man they sure made a bunch in the early-80's.

Now for the controversial post: 2016/2017 seems pretty good, at least in recent memory. You've got the back-end of SMVE, RZ, GB, TH, PBR, Dominos, B66 (really 2017 for all intents and purposes) then AS, Houdini, Jetsons, AFMR, SW, DI, TNA. Plus we'll have at least another Stern title, probably another JJP title announcement, and Spooky's AC before the end of the year. And that's even ignoring games like TBL, Alien, Magic Girl, which may be making people happy or miserable depending on the circumstances.

From Pinside in 1932: "Happy Gang vs. Happy Midget, which is better?"

    #20 6 years ago

1993 was a good year anyway. I remember it very well. A lot of stuff happened that year that shaped who I became today. Baseball, movies, and music.

    1989 was killer too!

    WMS Police Force
    DE Phantom of the Opera

    Am I missing something?!

    Oh yeah!
    WMS Bad Cats
    WMS Earthshaker
Bally Elvira and the Party Monsters

Happy Gang seems to get the most reaction.
