If you can't just slide/drag for fear of damaging the flooring, you could probably just pick up the front, move it a few inches, then the back, back and fourth until you get it in place. Kind of shuffle/walk it over. Put some cardboard under the feet that are down if you are worried about the pivoting? Otherwise for only a couple feet, you might be able to get on all fours and just balance the machine on your back, turtle style, LOL.
