Ok I need the collective pinside wisdom to help me on this. I've always struggled with keeping the #44 bulbs tight inside the pop bumpers an usually end up swapping out the socket for a #555. I get annoyed with that solution since it doesn't always fit 100%. I'm wondering what others do to keep those bulbs tight?

    With power off:

Crimp the socket body closed just enough to stop the bulb from wiggling.

Then take a small Allen wrench to slide under the spring tab to pull it up to increase tension.

An abrasive stick can help to clean the inside surfaces.

A dab of hot glue once installed

I've crimped it with a pliers to make it snug. Doesn't take too much; you can't even see the opening get any smaller when you're doing it.
