I want to try to do something that will keep this wear area from getting worse. Im not looking to do a full restore with an air brush or anything, just looking for a way to "seal" the paint. The pf is not cleared or anything. Just has wax on it.

Man, just don't worry about it. It's in home use now. I have a Williams Argosy EM I've put tens of thousands of plays on over the past 15 years. Playfield isn't noticeably worse than when I brought it in.

A few half-ass ideas are patch mylar, or you can use clear nail polish. But really none of this is needed just keep it clean and replace the balls every now and then.

The playfield protectors are an option but I hope you enjoy stuck balls and weird english on your games. Just not needed.

Ok, its not going to get worse over time though? We put maybe 20 plays on it a day between me and my family. Ive thought about clear nail polish just to seal it up.
