Remove the playfield, invert it and work that way which is far easier to get to and observe the switches. If you propose to do a number of machines you will find a rotisserie a particularly useful piece of equipment. If you choose to leave in the machine place a protective cover over the motor board to prevent foreign objects falling on the board.
