I'm interested to know what's the best video mode on a DMD pinball game.

    #2 1 year ago

    Lunar Lander on Apollo 13.

    #3 1 year ago

BSD, Fish Tales, DW are all pretty great.

The worst one running away the title is GOT...

    #4 1 year ago

    Most difficult Johnny Mnemonic!!

    SNARF!

    #5 1 year ago

I couldn't find a video of my favorite, which is the Phurba from The Shadow.

    Second best? Waterskiers!

    #6 1 year ago

So many good ones. Love the ones in Black Rose (outswim the shark, knife throw, rigging swing). The spaceships in AFM are reallly fun.

Personal favorite is "Shoot the Dog!" in JunkYard.

    #7 1 year ago

"Beat up the pervert!" on Creech. That guy always gets his medicine!

    #8 1 year ago

The Shadow is the most fun for me. It remains a challenge, even after many attempts.

    #9 1 year ago

I like Congo's. Especially on color DMD

    #10 1 year ago

    Baywatch water skiing mode.

    #11 1 year ago

    The suite of IJ modes.

    #12 1 year ago

One that has not been mentioned and that I like is the Batman forever video mode steering the batmobile.

    #14 1 year ago

Definitely second your selection for worst.

    #15 1 year ago

I've always been partial to Raven Bar on Indy, but find all its video modes to be among the best in all of pinball.

    Almost forgot STTNG

    #18 1 year ago

I hate video modes, but I sort of enjoy FT, AFM, BSD. Honorable mention to Stern Star Wars.

    #19 1 year ago

The two video modes that I think are the worst are GOT and JP lost world with the guy swinging on a rope.

Another vote for The Shadow. Quick, challenging, well animated, and encountered no more than once per game. All the things a video mode should be.

I agree Black Rose has multiple video modes that are pretty awesome.

Does Black Rose have the most video modes?

i think BR has 3. (I dont know of any game that has more than 3) IJ also has 3 (cups, mine cart and saloon)

I think a number of games have 3?

    #25 1 year ago

    I forgot about IJ,
I'm don't think there are too many that have 3.

    I could be wrong...............again

    #26 1 year ago

Fish Tales and Getaway are both great!

I don't care for video modes, but the Shadow video is the best. It is never easy.

It has the added challenge of making you remove your hand from the right flipper button to shoot the trigger.

Doing so will momentarily clear the screen to make scoring an Extra Ball (or finishing the mode) even possible for me.

You can play it more than once in a game, but you have to reach the Final Battle first. It's unlikely to happen.

Love me some video modes.....I think it’s a perfect mix to break up the pinball action but it’s gotta be something you get only once in a while and difficult which I think AFM is not easy to get all those saucers for extra ball although I’m trying a new strategy to turn them into cows instead of saucers to make it easier

CV would get my pick I always was a fan of simon growing up, with BSD behind it. AFM drives me nuts, I always forget about the bomb!

    #31 1 year ago

Don't like any of them and I'd turn them off if I could.
That Simon Says thing in CV is exceptionally horrible......

    Jumbo Shrimp
    Civil War
    Original Copy
    Great Video Mode

    #33 1 year ago

Mine cart in IJ is pretty great.

    #35 1 year ago

The Shadow knows that it has the best video mode.

    #36 1 year ago

Yeah No Fear is cool for sure.

    #37 1 year ago

The Getaway one, like all Dwight video modes, is a waste of time. Just ride the line, guaranteed 26M. Just like ST:TNG etc.

    #38 1 year ago

Agree!! Every wave of werewolves gets faster & faster.

    #40 1 year ago

Fish Tales by quite a large margin. Especially with a subwoofer installed. It sounds like WWIII. I own some of the other games mentioned including Shadow and Bram Stokers Dracula and in my view they are not even close to Fish Tales. I think my number two would be Congo, but there are quite a few similar to that where you are dodging objects. I guess I just like the theme of dodging rocks in the river.

    Supreme

    #42 1 year ago

I like the video mode on Indy 500.

    #43 1 year ago

Clearly the best video mode is no video mode.

    #44 1 year ago

Baywatch has a nearly imamaculate simulation of water skiing.

    #45 1 year ago

I like IJ's mine cart the best.

    #46 1 year ago

Gilby Rolls on GNR has the most attitude.

    #48 1 year ago

I like to" save the children" in MM from the pesky crows. That's once a year when I get that mode .

    #49 1 year ago

I loved Sea Wolf as a kid so Fishtales get's my vote.

    #50 1 year ago

If only Cactus Canyon had a cool video mode, it would be perfect...
