My friend is finishing up shopping out a Funhouse I recently bought. I'm a bit of a novice but he tells me some of the displays rows are flickery and some are even out... and if its a keeper, it should be replaced. It's a Keeper!

My question is, whats's the best value replacement LED Display and a good source to buy it from? I've read a little here about PinLED, PinScore, and Xpin. I'm just looking for for a good reliable display for a good price, from a reputable source.

Rottendog has them cheapest.

I bought a Bride of Pinbot that had a Rottendog alphanumeric display in it and it did the job. However I thought the unlit segments stood out a little too much so I bought an Xpin display at the Ohio Pinball Show and am very pleased. The Rottendog isn't a bad display, but I do like the Xpin better. The gray filters darken the unlit segments well and the display is brighter compared to Rottendog with same filters.

If the extra money isn't an issue, Xpin is my vote.

Haven't seen it in a funhouse, but a friend of mine has several rotten dog displays. All of them look excellent? As for Xpin, not a fan of the filters. Have one of their dmd's and while it looks awesome the filter is a pita. If you apply it with too much pressure it indents into the led areas as they are not flush. If it is too loose it will get wavy.
