Whirlwind is probably my favorite translite. Don't really know why, but it was the first game that really got my attention back in the day. Still looks cool to me today. (maybe I'm just reminiscing of my youth...ha) I like most of Yousi's drawings as well as Freres. My two favorite pin artists.
Quoted from herbertbsharp:Here's mine:
Good choice Herb! That's actually my second favorite!
Sorcerer
Gorgar
XMen Magneto
XMen Wolverine
Black Hole
In that exact order in my view.
Silverball Mania, Paragon, Centaur and a few others get honorable mention (just my opinion).
Quoted from PBINTHESOUTH:I almost bought this machine just for the translite...
I just bought this translite (Capt fantastic) It hangs framed on the wall. Had the game as a kid. I could "discover" women in that picture for hours
Quoted from shock_me:Not to sound nitpicky but a lot of these nominees are not translites, they are screened backglasses.
LOL! I just changed the title of the thread to now include both.
For an EM this is my favorite. Out of the new ones I really like the tron girls BG and X-men Magneto with an honorable mention going to Markmons' redesign of ACDC. I think CC was very well themed just not my up of tea. I really like the humor in MM bg but not really the art itself. Some of the older non-licensed themes had the best bg's of all of them. IMO
Quoted from beatmaster:wow nobody said paragon yet?
If Paragon's was mirrored it would probably win by a landslide; not being mirrored when so many others of its day were is a big knock against that backglass in my view and why it falls behind games like Gorgar, Black Hole, and Sorcerer.
Quoted from Bohdi:You have to include Lost World don't you?
Absolutely beautiful>>>>>>>>>
Ah, yes! Back when pins had real artwork, and not Photo-shoped collages! Thumbs up!
BBB is best translite.
Target Alpha is my favorite backglass with Jack in the Box a close second:
Quoted from CaptainNeo:Miss World is still the best and sexiest backglass ever. it's the whole reason I spent years tracking it down.
Yes. Thanks for bringing it to MGC where I was able to play a game on it.
