I have been a member here for a few years and have been observing posts, tons of GREAT information!

Recently I have turned all my energy to Pin Ball repair and have been actively shopping all my machines out for best performance.

I visited the Pinball museum in Las Vegas and spoke to a female technician (I think you know who she is who suggested I change all the coil sleeves out on my machines for best performance, also got on the high scores for Wizard of Oz!

It has also given me the opportunity to look over all the games I own and lube what needs to be lubed and look at all the components to replace and repair them.

Currently I own CFTBL, MMr (my first brand new game), TZ (new play field and upgrades on the clock and Slot Machine fix), Simpsons Pinball Party (Just installed the couch fix), AFM (Mint condition with all new boards) and ST TNG which I added the laser pointers. My AF is currently being reworked with a new play field that I found three years ago. All my play fields are MINT except CFTBL that I got on the cheap and has had some issues I am working through with the opto's.

Through the last several years I have acquired the pin ball "tools" specific to pinball machines that I only use to repair my machines.

I recently counted about 50 tools I use exclusively for pin ball, not car repair, house repair or any thing else. This includes the many special items we use to gap the flippers, soldering Iron, etc.

They are all in a "tool box" I got from Home Depot but they are a mixed set in a box so when I need a specific tool I need to hunt for it!

What would you recommend as a tool carrier so my tools are all organized and if I need a certain nut driver or hex head wrench I don't have to hunt for it int he tool box?

What would Johnny Ramone do? Ha.
I'm actually looking for a new toolbox myself. Kinda excited to see some of these....and that's sad. Besides LTG already gave us the answer. Thanks Lloyd!

    Too BIG!

I am not a professional repair person and have my coils, rubber, switches and other parts organized. I just need an attache case for the basic tools for the house.

I have attached photos of the tool box and work area with all my stuff for shopping the machines I own now.

I really like my Platt case for service. I can fix most anything with it, the small cases inside house fuses, molex & trifurcon pins and housings, fuses, common transistors, some chips and sockets, diodes, switches, etc.
The small brown pouches contain small wrenches, Allen wrenches, files, switch adjustment tools, hex torx and various bits, taps, and any small tools that fit.
Have assorted hardware and screws plus various crap accumulated in the bottom channel.
I have other parts cases I take depending on the call, flipper case, rubber case, lights case, desoldering gun case, etc.
I work out of the house/shop and then pack up for service calls with all the same inventory, but you can never have everything.

I use this backpack for my tools. I highly recommend it. I use some individual small tool zippered bags to organize some of the smaller or more uniquely shaped tools. Plus the light is helpful and it folds open flat. Can be found cheaper from other sellers than the linked page.

For parts, rubbers, switches etc. I use these Milwaukee boxes. They lock together and the removeable bins are great.

If you want something that is an ok size for the basics plus some extra, but still isn't too hard to travel with, I've quite enjoyed this one for a bit now:

I need one as well. Looking into a Platt. 605tc. Or 805 tc platt. Good sturdy plastic but expensive.
