I have a chance to purchase one of these five within my price range. What do you think?

Judge Dredd
Road Show
World Cup Soccer
Last Action Hero
World Poker Tour

Road Show......a great game on its own as well. Good luck!

#3 6 years ago

LAH, best game for the $$$$$$ EVER!!!!!!

#4 6 years ago

Yea I like that one..though Red and Ted seem like they might get a little annoying?

#5 6 years ago

I just recently sold my Roadshow, its a great game, but after about 8 months I just got bored with it.

#6 6 years ago

Personally I'd go with either Road Show or World Cup Soccer.

Not seeing much love for JD I do like popadiuk games. The one thats available is from a local pinball shop...so its shopped and nice I am sure..but $1700 which may be a but high for a WCS.

Road Show? To pair with an NGG?

If that's the only other machine he has, getting a second lawlor pin is madness!

WPT sucks in general. Dredd isn't bad, but I didn't really care for it when I had a chance to play it recently. If you like the theme of WCS, definitely get that one - That one is going at a huge discount relative to it's gameplay, because most pinballers hate sports themes.

You want something that doesn't feel like a Pat Lawlor game - you need either a Ritchie, or something else that doesn't feel lawlory.

I like sports so thats not an issue

Soccer was hella fun.

#11 6 years ago

All good choices.

#12 6 years ago

I think WCS would fit with NGG perfectly.

#13 6 years ago

LAH,Shoot me up some Gophers ) They are just opposite-opposites attract.

#14 6 years ago

I am looking for a game with lots of "modes" something that has a hard to get to wizard mode. NGG is a blast but it's pretty easy to sink 9 putts, and fire off the first couple of multiballs.

+1

That's the one that I'd pick from the list.

Yeah, that makes perfect sense, because NGG and RS are similar in *so* many ways!

WCS or Teed Off

Love poker but never got in to WPT

The rest for the right price would be good additions to any gameroom. IMHO

haha yea they are pretty diff. Seems like a lot to do in RS my only concern is the music and speech could get annoying?

#20 6 years ago

I had a WCS and my NGG at the same time in a small collection. Don't get me wrong, WCS is a good title, it just got old really fast.

#21 6 years ago

buy which ever one you enjoy playing the most

I haven't played much WPT, but it is one of the deeper pins out there. Outside your budget, but I think LOTR would perfectly complement NGG. Crazy deep, a bit more stop and go, and serious theme, long ball times. Majorly epic game.

#24 6 years ago

I'd say JD, WPT, or LAH. Okay I realize I did not shorten the list very much. If the theme or look of WPT & LAH are too much for you JD would be a solid option since it was based on the comics and not the movie.

#25 6 years ago

I liked wpt a lot.

#26 6 years ago

I would love LOTR but that's like $3500 is there a poor mans LOTR out there?? looking for a deep stop and go long ball times type pin as I find NGG to be fairy fast and furious.

#28 6 years ago

+1 to RS, lots to do, very fun, pretty deep.

Hi M

I purchased a JD in "good clean condition" from a collector here in Adelaide

Played it a for a few days & had that 'Ray Charles in the Blues Brothers' feeling
of "this game has no action!"

Once I rebuilt the flipper mechs, stripped & polished EVERYTHING and
canuba waxed it, it played like a completely different game

the DEADWORLD mod works well and there's some great shots in that beast
