I am trying to get my 11 year old into pins. He loves when the ball freezes and he can engage by watching a lot of different screen clips as the story plays out. Which pins are best for this?

I think Stern’s LOTR game tells the story very well. (Albeit it is not a modern video screen game)

I had never read the books or watched the movies prior to playing it. I was very impressed with the game. Bought it NIB and have owned it since.

Good luck in your search and hope the young one finds a game he enjoys. (And dad does too)

Who Dunnit gets my vote for an entertaining/engaging story. Great game, too

    TOTAN!
It has a complete story line with a beginning, middle and end, six different characters (not including monsters), a variety of settings and a ball hold magnet.

I always have thought STTNG does a good job with this. One of my favorite parts of the game is how you slowly advance in ranks, and when Picard congratulations you, he calls you by your rank. "Beyond Belief, Lieutenant Commander!"

Ghost Busters freezes a lot and shows scenes from the movie.

Revenge from mars. Its the only machine that my 6 year old son still loves. Tons of video and a decent game to play and not too expensive. Good luck on your search.

I would say AFM, it has it all!

    Hobbit. Hobbit hobbit hobbit hobbit.

Nothing else is even remotely close. You feel like you are IN the story. It is amazing. The last few code updates completely changed that game. There are -4- moving bash toys, a dragon! Each movie is well represented, killing Smaug is like NO other mode in pinball.

Not kid-appropriate really but EHOH also does a remarkable job immersing you in the game.

LOTR or Hobbit. That being said LOTR is way better from a game play perspective.

Ehoh. What 11 yr old would not fall in love with Elvira?

    Also: Junk Yard

Another one with a story that has a beginning, middle and end, a variety of interesting characters, a “world under glass” and decisions that effect the outcome of the game.

There’s no ball hold magnet, but the bus stopper post has the same effect.

Bonus: it’s a mid-90’s era Williams at an approachable price point.
