Nothing beats the satisfaction of a solid spinner shot!
Besides the already mentioned Grand Prix, and Aztec, some other mid-70's Williams games with great spinners are Space Mission/Space Odyssey, Hot Tip, and Wild Card.
A couple of bowling themed games with fun spinners that come to mind are 300/Top Score and Strikes & Spares.
Quoted from Astropin:WPT's are pretty cool. They sound like shuffling poker chips when you hit them. You can also get the ball going and hit them consecutively since they are both on the outer loop.
+1 for WPT. Love the chips sound as well as seeing the pot value increase when you hit the orbit spinners!
