I absolutely love my SS! The one thing I miss is a good spinner, nothing like making that shot that sends that spinner...well...spinning. What games have the best spinner?

#2 9 years ago

Iron Man, I miss mine now. The spinners are great and there are 3 which feel satisfying to hit.

#3 9 years ago

Williams Grand Prix. So satisfying when you rip a good shot on it.

#4 9 years ago

My favorite feeling spinner is Paragon, my favorite sounding is Space Invaders.

It's pretty fun ripping the spinners on NGG.

Quoted from tdiddy:

High Speeds are fun

+ 1 when they're oiled up.
Also most 70's EMS with spinners that activate the chimes are just so satisfying to hit.

The spinners in Big Game are pretty awesome if you have them set up to spin for days. The sounds for them change depending on if the spinners are lit or not, and if the one is lit when you rip it the sound is like a bunch of high pitch jungle birds chirping. haha. Love it. I also love that the spinners are right next to each other. If you hit the inside one just right and hard enough, it will feed the right flippers and allow for a shot to the outside flipper. It is always rewarding to be able to hit the second spinner while the first is still spinning.

WMS Grand Prix and Gtlb Buccaneer come to mind. Not easy shots, and the associated light show was always cool. Classic Ballys and Sterns always seemed to have a great spinner shot as well.

Flight 2k

#12 9 years ago

I love Gorgar's spinner, specially when it's lit for 1000 a spin. If you have a sub hooked up it sounds fantastic!

#13 9 years ago

Flash

#14 9 years ago

Robocop. With that sound- nothing like it.

I also really enjoy the spinners on KISS (They're way up there, with no guide shot available!) and JM (because points).

#16 9 years ago

Aztec and Star Gazer

#17 9 years ago

Even though they are virtual, i like the spinners on Star Wars Episode 1. the best part is, they never need to be fixed.

#18 9 years ago

Nothing beats the satisfaction of a solid spinner shot!

Besides the already mentioned Grand Prix, and Aztec, some other mid-70's Williams games with great spinners are Space Mission/Space Odyssey, Hot Tip, and Wild Card.

A couple of bowling themed games with fun spinners that come to mind are 300/Top Score and Strikes & Spares.

#19 9 years ago

AC/DC and STTNG have nice sound effects when you rip the spinner.

#20 9 years ago

Johnny Mnemonic, Bring on those spinner millions!!!!!!!!

#21 9 years ago

I would have to say Grand Prix is the best one I have played on an EM. Meteor is one of my favorites if set up properly that thing can spin all day... I also do like the ACDC War Machine spinner (or Play Ball on my machine).

#22 9 years ago

I love spinners. Nine Ball is my favorite. there is a skill shot to instantly max it out. Rip the spinner banking into the ball lock, simply awesome!

#23 9 years ago

Meteor,Galaxy,Aztec. But top prize has to go to Big Game. Two killer spinners!

#24 9 years ago

Star Gazer best "Spinner" game...
Fathom... lit tripled (3 MB) 15k per turn
Grand Prix... the EM spinner sound - awesome!

#25 9 years ago

Mars Trek has two side by side

#26 9 years ago

Warlok & Blackout both have 3 awesome spinners!

#27 9 years ago

WPT's are pretty cool. They sound like shuffling poker chips when you hit them. You can also get the ball going and hit them consecutively since they are both on the outer loop.

#28 9 years ago

I had an Amazing Spider-Man that had a spinner that was... well... amazing.

Gottlieb Rock Star and Stern RBION.

Metallica with an external subwoofer.

#32 9 years ago

5"2'. 125lbs. Best spinners.

+1 for WPT. Love the chips sound as well as seeing the pot value increase when you hit the orbit spinners!

you forgot Blue Chip! Dual spinners baby!

also, Kitsap? used to live on Bainbridge.

#35 9 years ago

+3 Williams GrandPrix-

Got mine well tuned and they rotate about 80+ turns... with a chime at every turn and lights racing.... so000 sweet to just nail it pure...

125 lbs?? Ouch...

No....try 5' 0" and 105 lbs. Now THATS a spinner!

Oh pinball?!? Try STINGRAY. Stern '88. Game has chimes so when you rip the spinner, the chimes go nuts. Classic.

Class of 1812 - hit the spinner hard and Dracula will say "blah blah, blah, blah, blah blah".... to the sound of the spinner.

New pin? I like Iron Man spinners as they ignite the Iron Monger.

#40 9 years ago

I definitely like SOUND connected to a spinner. Meteor's spinner is cool - but it's just TOO QUIET.

#41 9 years ago

Swords of Fury baby!!!

#42 9 years ago
Quoted from Crispin:

My favorite feeling spinner is Paragon

+1 for Paragon.

I'd also mention Sorcerer. Those two spinner shots are low enough to require a good shot. I love the one on the left that sends you up to the pops.

#43 9 years ago

Flash Gordon. Light them up and score big.

#44 9 years ago

For really cool spinner sounds, check out Frontier and MSF. Also Transformers when super spinners lit sounds pretty cool. +1 on STTNG when super spinner is lit.

Lol, nice thread resurrection!

The spinners are why I bought my Williams Grand Prix!

#47 3 years ago

I really like the 1 on gorgar, especially when lit for 1000..she can spin 20+ times on a good rip..

#48 3 years ago

Prospector!

#49 3 years ago

Beatles opto spinner. Can't be beat. A good rip feels so good.
