***Added a poll. I tried to pick games that were long enough after FP that companies could see what multi-ball could do and choose to use it. Flash Gorgon just seemed to be so popular I added it even though it came out 3 months after FP)***

I was doing a little thought experiment about some of the best games that do not have multi ball. It seems like Barry and Pyton had a few in there even after mutli-ball became popular:

Comet
Cyclone
Bad cats

Seems like Premiere/Gottlieb had a few in the mid-80's. Trying to figure out which was the last single ball game and some of the goodies. I'll keep looking, and add to the list as soon as I discover them, but shout them out if you know of any

Of course you have all your EM games (well MOST) BUT looking at SS games. And more so the ones that really stand out (I'll omit most of the games prior to Firepower since that is the game that popularized it in SS games. But I'm going to incluse a few I think are real winners, haha)

It's Eight Ball Deluxe.

agree!

Yeah I think EBD is pretty far up there.

Quoted from DefaultGen:

many late 70s and early 80s Ballys are crazy good.

I agree. I was just thinking how many games are GREAT and challenging without mutliball.

Don't understand why Atlantis is in your poll

Ahhh.... I put the wrong one in my list......dang it........I looked up the Bally '89 one. I knew something was wrong

Quoted from o-din:

And multiball has been around since the 50s.

My point was SS games that came AFTER FP. That said I did allow a little wiggle room there. We all know multi ball has been around forever. But I wanted to look at just S games.

Quoted from bingopodcast:

Perhaps changing the title to reflect 'Best non-multiball early solid state games' or just 'best non-multiball solid state games'.

Advice taken

Sorry man. But when you start a topic like this in the "all pinball" section, it can be confusing. Carry on....

There is no good heading to put this under....I was just curious...
