It's probably in here somewhere, if so, can someone point me to the right direction or link.

What is the best / simplest setup to video the playfield from overhead and then project live feed to a TV or record. Seen this at tournament setups.

    Thanks !

Video above is made using g a flexible phone mount attached to a stool but have attached to backbox before. Record and then upload straight to YouTube in the app on your phone. I use a mount like this. $20 all in, but not nearly as fancy as some folk.

Your best bet? Don't over complete it.

For tournaments, I find that it's much more important to show a nice clean shot of the playfield rather than working hard to capture the person's reaction and the dmd/score.

    Get yourself a budget C-stand with a 20" boom arm with a 5/8" stud to 1/4-20 adapter.

*edit: getting a c-stand that can accept wheels isn't a bad idea. Then you can wheel the setup from game to game provided there's enough foot room. If you're looking for a more involved mobile oriented setup, I highly recommend this thread: http://tiltforums.com/t/mobile-camera-rig-plans-and-materials/4524

Get a camera with an HDMI output that can accept a power supply. Many DSLR's can fit the bid and there's a chance you already have one sitting somewhere.
If you need a recommendation for a camera type, I would recommend something along these lines. Just make sure it can do 1080p/60fps.

Get a 150ft HDMI with the appropriate connector types for the camera end. Many cameras use Mini HDMIs rather than full ports.

From there, plug it into the HDMI that goes to the projector. You're done.

If you want to provide the TV too, get a

    Cheap TV Stand

The cheapest and biggest 56" or so tv you can find. Mount it vertically. HDMI in. You're done.

Literally not what he's looking for, but ok.
