I was wondering what everyone’s opinion is on the best rule set when taking into account diverse ways of scoring for 90s Bally/Williams games? Is it one of the big three or is it something else like Shadow or Fish Tales.

Is that one up there for best rule sets? I’ve never seen it get mentioned. I love a good under rated game with good rules.
I don’t think anyone has enough brain capacity to thoroughly know the rules to All those games then draw a winner!
Some of those titles have little to no rule depth, which I prefer most of the time, while others require a bit more strategy.
I think Whitewater has a good balance of shoot the shots/have fun, but then the challenge of try to stack 5X with multiball then hammer the falls.
I rate Dirty Harry highly - was surprised quite how much there is to it. Lots to think about and nice little strategies to work on - not just ploughing through modes to get to the wizard.

Main modes pause during multiball. This is dumb. Dirty Harry is disqualified.
(I have owned DH twice and I like it a lot.)

There are plenty of folks that know the rules of hundreds of games deeply. Go to a top tier tournament they are the guys in the Finals.

That’s probably why my simple ass prefers them basic rules haha
Surprised at a lack of JackBot! The code is the best part of that game.
For what's there, I like DemoMan, not deep but really great for the layout and type of game that it is

Another vote for WH2O, the rule set and required shots are almost brilliant. Getting to the wizard mode is difficult but not impossible for the slightly better than average player.
Quoted from athens95:TAFG rules are a little deeper than TAF. But no TAFG selection?
Subtraction by addition.
