Was gifted a bottle of this stuff called ds-108, it’s primarily naphtha based ( consider a solvent but naphtha is as well and some or most waxes ) and can be used in ultrasonic cleaners for pcbs, flux removal, pre prep for finally paint, wax removal etc.

I normally use this for flux removal and it works great! I picked up a stern lightning and playfield needed some touch up so I decided to see how this stuff works on playfields, as it’s designed to remove wax residue and leave the paint unharmed . I started around a good touch up area and started to notice that all ball swirls started to disappear. I continued to start to remove Mylar and used this stuff on the left adhesive. This stuff did a great job and only took a few mins on each overlay. See before and after photos.

    Quoted from PinRob:

Isn’t that stuff mainly used in the aerospace industry? Isn’t cheap and readily available too?

Yea it’s pretty pricey, but now I can see why. Person I got it from had it in bulk and had to get rid of it before it expired. Stuff is like $100 a gallon.

    Quoted from Isochronic_Frost:

The Lightening that was on Facebook a few days ago? Lucky! I was trying to get it but waited too long. Congrats, looks great

Yup! I’ve dealt with the seller before. Got it up and running in 15 mins. Everything has gone through the polisher and just trying to figure out what clear I want to use
