another pretty decent supplier is NiftyLED. no doubt about Comet either, Art's been creating some nice custom bulbs too.

I hadnt looked at sites for 44-47 base #455 type LED's in a while, description "fast" or "slow" arent really enough to know what to expect. be nice if they were listed (average) BPM -beats per minute.
they might behave slightly differently for machine or socket voltage, but it could be easier to buy several with differing BPM values to get the more random blink appearance, more like incandescent #455's doing their thing with the internal bi-metallic reed switch (also pretty unpredictable!).

-just in case a few vendors happen to read this topic-

not saying bulbs like this from the same batch-source dont differ slightly, it's just kind of annoying to me when the blink rates fall "in step" for a solid minute or so for being SO close-similar internally. I dont know but would hope it is something listed in detailed specs for vendors buying cases/lots of them, or perhaps information vendors can request manufacturers provide, so it can be included to websites descriptions to know expected behavior a little better

different blink rates are going to coincide sometimes too, but for how long?

also hadnt seen a #455 double yet, but for me it's been a good while since looking..

I hear ya Art, some things really suffer a communication barrier between English and Chinese (has a dozen brands itself). heres a curious.. if a bit of aluminum or steel (something a bit less conductive) were on the bulb's tip, could it change the blink rate some?
