What is the best “New” generation release in the past 5 or so years and why?

Any manufacturer, your opinion!

#2 6 months ago

According to Pinside 100, it's IMDN. I am waiting to see the Stern Brian Eddy pin...

Walking dead

That's hard to say. Metallica/walking dead/iron maiden are all good choices. Maybe dialed in. Hell, you could argue that AFM and MM both qualify.

I would argue that they do qualify as far as timeframe.

I definitely think props has got to goto Jersey Jack Pinball. IMO they might have missed with Wizard of Oz and Hobbit but Dialed In is IMO the best new pin in the past 5 years! The arrow is definitely pointing up for Jersey Jack.

Stern has been up and down and all over the place in the past 5 years....some good, some bad.

TWD has gone from unique layout with horrible call outs to unique layout with modded awesomeness.

Freakin fun pin man. Still playing it years later.

#9 6 months ago

Dialed In

#10 6 months ago

Another for Dialed In

#11 6 months ago

TWD Premium/LE has the best complete package since Cleland re did the call outs and Lyman completed the code.

There are other great pins. But usually something is missing from them on the theme, completed code or music and call outs.

Do remakes count?

Dialed In

Dialed In, for sure!

#15 6 months ago

Maiden. First game in 6 years that I purchased NIB and I used to by them regularly.

#16 6 months ago

AFMRLE

#17 6 months ago

Twd prem/ le

#18 6 months ago

Left lightspeed... Multimorphic.
Because, it's an evolution!

Have done the same, nothing has stood out for a long time. Maiden will be hard to top.

Thunderbirds

It sure ain't thunder turd.... Dial in hands down it's not even close

#25 6 months ago

Metallica... close second is star wars prem/le

#26 6 months ago

Met prem road case for now until I get more time in on maiden. Dialed in as far as solid build quality, flow and “ flipper feel “. I my opinion it’s the closest to what a NIB Bally/Williams was like back in the day. Only problem is the theme isn’t for me.
OP add a poll to Tally the votes!

Dialed in is my all time favorite ....stern has some great pins in there also but jjp pins are just steps above what stern is putting out imo. Great time to be a pin head....thats for sure

#28 6 months ago

Not sure I’ll make it to the York show this year but I’m curious to play it for nostalgia reasons. It won’t be the best but it’s still cool it got made.

WOZ may not be the best pinball theme, but the machine itself was probably the most revolutionary over the past 5 years. 1st lcd screen, light package is insane. 3 playfields and hadn’t been done since probably Haunted House. Not my cup of tea as far as the theme, but very cool game

#30 6 months ago

maiden. or di. unique layout from stern or a fun player from my fav designer.

#31 6 months ago

Iron Maiden
Dialed In
Walking Dead
Metallica

I couldn't agree more.....not quite as fun as AFMRLE but all in all an incredible pin. It would however probably win the best looking pin

#34 6 months ago

Can we make this a poll please?

Absolutely correct, and still JJP's cornerstone...theme is as timeless as it gets.....I admire the DI outpouring, however,....a loyal bunch.

Thankfully, many great playing games out there now...you'll have to play them and decide for yourself.....

Poll would help some post their favorite without getting berrated....good idea...AFMRLE, and yes, BM66 are very serious contenders.....

#37 6 months ago

Out of the pins I currently have
Ac/dc premium (ok does not qualify)
Met pro led
TWDLE
Kiss premium
GoT premium
Ghostbusters Le
Aerosmith premium

My pick is definitely TWDLE

Batman 66

Dialed in followed by a working alien

#41 6 months ago

Woz with a close 2nd ......... sorry guys all who have a bad taste in there mouth but alien!
Man that pin is just crazy from toys to very very unique shots in fact the shots are so different it makes you worse as a player because
You get used to them and you can hit standard shots anymore. ahah
Also the eerie nostromo engines in the background , pf monitor, the videos that tie in..then the outside of the cab
With led lights is just awesome.

#42 6 months ago

Have to go Dialed In and WOZ as a very close second. Could really pick either one.

I think the op meant to say, what's the best "working" pinball released in the last 5 years I kid I kid.

My vote goes to WOZ (if it qualifies); with a close tied for 2nd between IMDN & JPOTC

Most addictive = Star Wars

#44 6 months ago

Does it need to have 1.0 or greater code ? LOL

#45 6 months ago

Where are all the TNA guys at?

#46 6 months ago

Walking Dead Premium/LE w/ Cleland sound

#47 6 months ago

Poll coming. Was planning to do one but di not want to taint the results with my own bias or lack thereof.

#48 6 months ago

Woz for sure. I didn't like the theme choice when I first heard it either, but I've come to realize it was one of the most genius choices ever. And the game is a grand slam.

Where is other or non of those.

#50 6 months ago

Poll added,
As far as LE, SE, Prem etc. lets just assume the standard versions are pretty well the same gameplay as the premium versions if your favorite happens to be a premium etc.

I know there are a lot more releases and feel free to bring them in to the discussion. I alao missed a couple that were mentioned as secondaries. This really is about the 1 game you think is the Best of all....
