Hey all! Have a machine that definitely has some sun discoloration where Mylar was missing from the playfield. The pin is from the early 90s and is a bally. No clear coat. I want to repaint/touch up these areas but absolutely suck with a paint brush. Any good suggestions for the type of paint and any good pens that folks use? Any links to stuff on amazon will be greatly appreciated?

I use the Sharpie *paint* pens from Hobby Lobby (in stock and on the shelf). For fine lettering and thin lines, use the "extra fine" style. For the key lines around the inserts, I use the "fine" style. For touching up the outside of the cabinets, I use the "medium" ones. Sometimes paint pens are called paint markers.

Its a sad day when you get a down vote for asking a question.

I like Molotow paint pens. They are pigmented acrylic ink - waaaaay less prone to fading than "permanent" ink markers (sharpie, etc) which will definitely fade/discolor.

The Sharpies I linked are PAINT (oil based) not ink.

Not sure how that downvote happened but should be gone now, sorry.

Any issues with those bleeding during the clear coat?

    I've never clearcoated anything. I don't know.

Paint pens won't bleed , but the sharpie ink pens can bleed when clearcoating . Get the PAINT pens KenLayton linked and clear coat will be fine .

Sorry - I didn't click the links. I did not realize Sharpie made paint pens!
