They were not pissing on your house.

They just got in the country and had not been issued USA phones yet. Their phones could send Texts through WiFi, but not make calls.

I gave them my phone so they could call their loved ones that they had arrived safe, and they went around the corner to call with some privacy.

My two friends were just as surprised by the entry as I was. They said their first thoughts were that within a hour of being in America they were involved in a shooting.

(About the only thing in the European news about America is the latest mass murder of the week. If a week goes by without a mass murder, there will at least be an unarmed black man killed by police in a traffic stop on the news)

It's got over 25,000 posts and runs for over 500 pages. It's the complete saga from early announcement, to delays, changes to the design, EL lighting (or not), last minute artwork changes, more delays, Andrew taking the $ and running, Pinball Brothers. About 250 machines eventually made it out, and the few lucky owners had to figure out how to keep the games running.

Reading his threatening posts and how he was wanting to know who the 'racials' are and where they live, I decided to do some investigative work myself. With a little bit of elbow grease, I think I know exactly who he is, what he does and WHY he was offended. Guess I have too much time on my hands

Am I the only one who clicks this thread thinking "Ah, maybe this will be the most inspiring restorations, or archival-quality tech help, or newly rediscovered lost game finds..." and is disappointed to see a punch list of cringe-worthy dumpster fires?

Some of them might be amusing, and I've laughed and commented in some as well... but to me, most of these threads illustrate the WORST of Pinside. So many people openly gripe about why so much of the worst elements keep coming up. I dunno. Maybe they shouldn't be literally celebrated as the "best"? I mean there's so much positivity to love about this site, why should that be the stuff you actually have to look for as it gets buried in the dumpster of so-called "Best of"?

All kidding aside, why do we self-select the worst aspects, actors, and meltdowns in this community as something worth celebrating?
