I was just thinking about the small window of time before almost all SS machines had a multiball feature...
So what do you guys think is the best game that falls into that category? I'm nominating Gorgar. Any other opinions?
I like Bad Cats and Cyclone. Not enough time on Comet but i think i would like that just as much with more playtime.
There are many excellent single ball games.
Some of my favorites include Alien Poker, Medusa, Nitro Ground Shaker, and Paragon.
If I had to choose just one, then it would be Medusa.
It has translucent flippers, pop bumpers, drop targets, stand up targets, zipper flippers, spinner, extra timed ball, earnable extra ball, excellent pf art, wicked backglass and well done color scheme.
Yep. My vote would be for Medusa.

Quoted from Pinwizkid:Cyclone is the clear winner here.

Hey, you with the face - Cyclone!

I never had a chance to play Medusa, but I can see why so many people love it. It's one of those I'm always looking out for.
Also +1 to Haunted House and Seawitch. Both are fantastic.
Pool Sharks (great flow, love it)
Flash Gordon (just got one) wish mine looked as nice as the one above.
Never played a Paragon or Flash Gordon, so I'd nominate Medusa for art, layout, and features and Blackout for overall flow. Both fun games
Best can only be one
Here are some of the best
Seawitch
Star Gazer
Eight Ball Deluxe
Viking, Paragon, Harlem Globetrotters or Future Spa are also great!
This is a trick question. If the game is so ancient that it doesn't even have multiball then the game sucks.
Crap, now I've got several games to put on my "must play" list.
I was crossing my fingers that someone would say Concorde. Haha
Quoted from joestro78:Yeah, early SS...
Why have I never come over your house, Marcus?
Probably because you live 200+ miles away from me?
Keep a look out for a party invite for 2013. I hope to have one in Spring 2013.

There are a lot of good games that don't have multiball, I don't think I could pick just one. Most have been listed before...
Seawitch
Big Game
Meteor
Medusa
Blackout
Flash
So many to choose from!
On a long list I might pick Bad-Cats, Gorgar, Blackout, Flash, Flash Gordon, Quicksilver, Meteor, Seawitch, Time-line, Alien Poker, Viking, or Medusa, but if I had to pick the best, it would be Eight-Ball Deluxe.
Cyclone! no doubt...in a time when multiball was pretty common, this game survives on its art work, flow and design! long live Anghelo!
Haunted House is a must on this list, and not just because I own one. I played a lot of Cyclone back in the day, great machine for beginners to learn on. I'll put in a good word for Laser Cue, a wickedly fast Williams machine from 1984, though I'm admittedly biased since I own one. I also played a lot of Laser Ball, a widebody from 1979, back in the day.
I've owned Medusa, Flash Gordon and Seawitch and all are great. +1 EBD, Haunted House is fun, Star Gazer I played last Denver show, just awesome. Flash has to be there as well, although there aren't many pins with uglier "traditional" artwork. I've also played Laser Cue, very underrated. Maybe if the pool players had been women instead....
Flash just takes me back. There's a reason it was the biggest selling pin for 20 years give or take.
My collection will be rounded out with a Paragon or EBD or Globetrorrers.
Bally with inline targets are great. As are double flippers.
Cyclone is a fun game to play a few times, but any of those 80's games with the progressive jackpots are just completely annoying to own. If you have the greatest game of your life but the jackpot is low you will not outscore a terrible game where you hit a big jackpot. This is so annoying that I sold my Cyclone and Bad Cats a decade ago and probably will never own another game with a progressive jackpot.
Haunted House all the way.
