My dad had this machine years ago but sold it and we are going this weekend to get one. It's also his birthday/Father's day so I'm trying to find some mods for the machine to get him.

Snackbar mod is amazing!
We are biased, but an MRS on the whirlpool is not so much a mod, but an improvement.....nothing more entrancing than watching that ball go 'round and 'round untouched!
Matt
The tail light mod for the speaker panel IF you can find it. Pinsider @thomso9 used to make it, and it is amazing.
Another pinsider here makes a control board that adds 9 light patterns to the main ramp and whirlpool.
Snack bar mod as mentioned. ColorDMD is awesome too.
Disclosure: I have all of these so I'm biased.
This replacement chase light board created by stumblor is awesome and is completely plug and play.
I also like this Ford Crown Victoria car mod with working headlights and tail lights.

As NPO mentioned the tail light speaker panel mod created by thompso9 is a great mod, but will be difficult to find unless he makes another run of them.

The snack bar mod created by swinks is also a very nice mod that really dresses up the game.

The MRS (magnetic reed switch) created by Sonic is also very well done and very fun to watch during game play as the ball goes round and round the Creech bowl.

It appears you selected LED instead of LCD. I was thinking about going with the LCD version because it produces a smoother image? What made you choose LED?

Pin2DMD only comes as LED - if you buy a ColorDMD, those come in LCD or LED versions.

You will be pleased to know I am working on a massive update for CFTBL PIN2DMD project - if you think it looks fantastic now, wait until you see it with 64 colours and all those dodgy bugs squashed. ETA another week or two, in the meantime, look into getting v4+ firmware installed on your display.
