My favorite mods are the ones I have made myself for little money. I am not a fan of a bunch of gaudy mods on a machine to trash it up.
Couple I have done are:
- made the static roulette wheel on Whodunnit spin.
- made my own TV LCD screen with Twilight Zone on it for TZ
- found a small hotdog skiing figure to add to sit on the plastic over the Wipeout “Hot doggin” feature
- added my own magnet to TZ for the ball drop mechanism that the pin would bounce.
Finally the only other mods I am 100% with doing to any machine are cliffy whole protectors!
I have them on:
- Funhouse
- Party Zone
- Baywatch
- RoadShow
From a purchased standpoint, I have bought:
- A pyramid mod for TZ. The mini playfield just looked wrong with the whole at the end dropping back on the PF.
I would agree that color DMD’s are a good add, I just can’t justify the cost and don’t believe you would ever get it back out when you sell.
