Best methods for bench testing WPC Sound boards?

I have a WPC sound board from a Fish Tales that I just went over for a friend. Had to replace all the electrolytic caps and several of the tantalum caps. Before putting it in a game I'd like to at least do a quick bench test to see if there are signs of life in the board now. What do you do to test these on the bench?

I don't have a Fish Tales but could try this in my BOP machine. Is it ok to just leave in the Fish Tales sound ROM and use the menu to play all those sounds or will those only work when driven by the Fish Tales ROM set?

Thank You!

Will it be ok to use the Fish Tales sound ROM for testing? I know the sounds won't be right with BOP but if it will come up and the test menu can play the Fish Tales sounds then it should be good.
