    Mean green not simple green will cut through old smoke stains but beware it is lye and will remove paint if left on too long. TSP sold at paint stores is a waste of time as is simple green, etc. Heck I use mean green on my bowling ball at bowling alley to remove oil. I bought it a dollar store years ago. Use at your own risk.
