STTNG looks very nice in my Opinion...image.jpg
My Funhouse looks great with Cointaker LEDs. I put red LEDs in Rudy's cheeks in the backglass. It makes him look even more creepy and a little mad actually.
I'd say AC/DC or WOZ because I really don't like the way LEDs look in vintage machines. If the game is designed for them, I'm all over it, otherwise I think they change the look too much. In some ways they make the games harder to play since the lighting is so spotty. I know I'm not in the majority so go ahead and downvote me for my OPINION. Cool people will upvote me though...

All led lighting needs to be finely tuned to each game, I really love those LED strips for the older stuff as it allows for lighting in area that otherwise were dark before, also the fluted dome lights from comet have such a nice spread of light that they work great in the GI and I recently started use frosted in the inserts as to soften the brightness factor, it also give the colored inserts a much nicer glow than superbright whites lets say.

... I agree to some degree. Check out my bk, I used warm white retros from coin taker, I think it kept that warm look you are referring to
I got that same kit in my monopoly, this is the only game that ever bug me with leds because on the playfield board game the leds shine so bright you can see how crroked the lights are underneath, its jus too transparent for me, even my wife said it look bad

Can you explain?....the pic above looks great, and I'm seriously thinking of adding this game to my lineup....thanks....mark
Monopoly board all the properties are super translucent u can see the bulbs , stern put all the bulbs zig zag it looks really bad with leds, I'm not ocd but it really bug me when you turn the game on and look down and all the lights in the property's are crooked looking, it bother me show much all took all the lights out and replaced them with demer bulb's, but besides that the rest of the game looks great
It's the only pic I had before I change the leds, but if you look close you can see what I'm talking about

Thank you very much for insight!!! I do like the game, but your concerns are justified looking at those pictures.....I might still pick up the game, as it seems fun to play (for me).....mark
Glad I could help, definitely a fun game to play

I would never use the kits, each game needs different kinds of lights, frosted here, super bright there and so on. I would like to add this game to the collection one day.
I like the kits, after I put the kit in. I change different gi to my liking, makes it kinda easy

Not a bad way to go, but I recommend this value for you to consider. With the average game using 150 bulbs, we offer a Starter kit of the same bulb and quantity for $99 with Free Shipping, and a Master Kit of 250 Bulbs !!! for $149 shipped free.
I think these make sense if one has more then one game, as one can come very close to finishing 2 Sterns with a Master Kit, and a few
extra bulbs.....
But if one game, or one at a time, a kit can have its advantages.

Any way one does it...be Happy!
Quoted from mcclad:I think that LEDS are a must have for a BSD. They add to the overall mood of the game and make it seem more like an environment.
Agreed! I also highly recommend adding LED light strips to the front and back of the machine, as well as adding spotlights above the slings.
Quoted from AndHart120:Just did BK2K on Monday. Turned out pretty good!
My opinion... Every game looks pretty, pretty, pretty, good with LED's.
Based on personal experience I'd say Getaway HSII looks pretty badass with LEDs. It made a huge difference! Honestly, I think every pin looks better with LEDs if it is tastefully done
I agree that the Getaway looks awesome if done correctly, although, that would go for any machine. The extra ball, jackpot, secret mania light show is crazy! Having said that, I've seen some LED conversions that are, in my opinion, over the top but I suppose that's subjective.
I added the colordmd and inside the back box being all frosted twin smd (some color, some warm and some bright white) except the headlights and flashers. Selecting the playfield bulbs took a long time to get it right for my tastes but in the end I feel like I have a new machine.
Damn that color DMD looks awesome

Thank You. It really is a nice upgrade that adds a great look to the pin. It's hard to believe in this day and age all new machines don't have them installed. Props to the Colordmd people for this...
LEDs and a Colordmd screen will make older pins look new and in some cases better than the new modern units (lMHO).
