My current pref on LOTR is all incandescent, but bling out the flasher behind the ring with something bright--white, yellow, or red. I currently have a color changer in the acrylic ball to bring a little more attention to the Palantir shot--but it looks a little out of place and will probably be coming back out.
Haven't explored warm LEDs yet, but I'm pretty sure that's going to be an inevitable swap out down the road.
