Name your favorite licensed pin and your favorite unlicensed pin. Then say which one you like more and vote for either the licensed or unlicensed pin in the poll.

    T2-licensed
    Bad Cats-unlicensed
While not the “best” game...T2 is by far the best license in pinball to this day...!!!............Joey

    Best licensed game: LOTR

    LOTR is the superior pin

As far an unlicensed pins go Whitewater immediately came to mind and would be my choice but there are a ton from the 80's and 90's (when i grew up) that are pretty solid, heck most of the greats are unlicensed; MM, AFM, WW, CV, TOM, FH ect.

I feel that I like unlicensed pins more, but maybe that's because I look back at the Bally/William's days fondly and half of those were unlicensed.

    Licensed: Metallica
    Unlicensed: Whirlwind

When I think of the best from both I think of the following
    Wh20 & AFM > MB & TZ

Alien is the best licensed, Dialed In is the best unlicensed games, in my opinion.

TWD and WH20 are a close second.

Can some one explain the licence to me ?
Does it mean the game is made from a copy of another existing product ?
Or does it mean the owners of the content/show/band partnered in developing the game ?
Can you make a pinball game from a character that is popular with out being a licenced game?

Explain it slow for me please, I am new

Licensed means you are using the intellectual property — trademarks and copyright — from another entity. So Game of Thrones is licensed. Cirqus Voltaire is not. In terms of making a game with a character, it depends upon whether that character is still protected by copyright. Mickey Mouse is protected. Houdini is not. I hope that helps.

My choices and answer isn't always the same, but right now I'll say...

Licensed Star Trek Pr > Unlicensed Safe Cracker

    #16 5 years ago

    Licensed: TWD

    Unlicensed: AFM

Overall I would go with licensed.
