Under yellow, red, or orange colored plastics: warm white. Everything else: cool white.

Gonna try this

My favorite now is Frosted Sunlight in Roadshow GI.

My preference lately has been to use all frosted cool white for the GI on the playfield, and backbox.

Well, the White, and Cool White would be the same thing, a cooler color temp, compared to warm.
Coin Taker also has a new site.

Comet's Sunlight is actually a white between warm and cool. But either way, lots of good LED vendors out there.

I ordered the frosted sunlight, hope they turn out nice.

Warm/Cool white doesn't relate to the temperature. It has to do with the color. "Cool" white is a stark 'real' white. "Warm" white is more of a yellowish color like people expect from a standard incandescent style filament.

For GI lights, you can't beat Cointaker's premium frosted. I have them in all three of my games.

Well, not looking to stir the pot backwards, but isn't the "color" we see with our eyes, rated and measured by "temperature"?

I read past the "color" in "cooler color temp" and only came out with "cooler temp" -- I think.

I have Cointaker Premium Frosteds in my WCS and the Comet Sunlights in my OXO, love them both! My BSD came in with some now older LEDs (i.e., no flexies anywhere) that are OK but I'm sure could be improved... someday.

Went with Pinsider Astropin's config on my STTNG backbox (love it!) but still haven't attempted the playfield on my STTNG... too daunted by all the possibilities and almost sure I'll be disappointed in any kit.
