I'd give them a vote just for their fries.

Quoted from CNKay:Aren't there only like two white castles in the whole country?? I don't think they are a chain anymore, more like a link.
There are two just in Las Vegas. One at Fremont Street and another at Casino Royale.
Quoted from onemoresean:Not the best, but a Sourdough Jack can hit the spot.

I used to like Jack in the Box burgers, but they went away from the sesame seed buns to those awful what ever kind of buns the have now. I rarely eat there anymore, and usually don't get burgers there. I mean, they ruined the Jumbo Jack of all things! Same goes for the Ultimate Cheeseburger.
Appeares I'n not the only one that feels that way: https://www.change.org/p/jack-in-the-box-jack-please-bring-back-the-sesame-seed-bun
Quoted from Frax:Really? There's one about 3 miles from my house in Dallas.... it's a shared split with a Long John Silvers, but they've been around here for as long as I can remember. A bit scarce these days, but hanging on with LJS.
Used to have one here in Norwalk with a drive thru, one in nearby Stonewood Mall in the food court, One on Imperial Hwy in La Habra that had car hop service, and I believe there used to be one in Fullerton (maybe O-Din can confirm this one) but they're all gone now.
Edit: There also used to be an A & W / Long John Silvers in Manhattan Beach. Also Gone.
Quoted from Darcy:Read on MSN last week that KFC was testing a 'Beyond Meat' product. "Thought they have been doing that for the last 20 years".
Replace KFC with Taco Bell and you've got that right!
The last LJS (not KFC / LJS or other combination) I saw was in Altus Oklahoma two years ago. There's one in Winslow Arizona just off I-40. But the last Long John Silvers I knew of in SoCal was in Riverside, and it's closed also. A group of us that go to Banning for tech days used to stop by there on the way back. At least there's a Raising Cains in Riverside to go to on the way back now.
Quoted from MikeS:...When we do the poll for best fast food chicken place my vote goes to Raising Cane's over Chick-fil-A.
This 100% ! They're basically the same business model In 'N Out except that they sell chicken strips instead of Burgers. Their fries a just okay, but the Texas Toast the serve is great. And you get quite a bit of food for your dollar there. The only problem is that like In 'N Out, they tend to have long lines. A new one just opened in Anaheim last week that I had to walk away from because the lines (inside and the drive thru) were so long.
Serious question: I don't think I've seen Sonic mentioned here. How are the burgers?
The nearest one to me is at least a dozen miles away. I've literally seen more of them outside of California than in California. If I go by one is it worth popping in and trying their food?
Too bad I didn't see this post when it was posted. There used to be several A&W locations in my area a few years ago, but now they're gone. The closest one to me is 66 miles away now. I don't even remember what their hamburgers taste like any more.
Quoted from dr_nybble:Maybe he's talking A&W Canada, there are almost 1000 stores here.
We still have them here, but most of them in California are gone.
Quoted from mcluvin:I tried an Impossible Whopper this week. It tastes and looks just like a regular Whopper. I was surprised. Only 30 calories less than a regular Whopper too (630). I'm not a fan of BK though. Most of ours are pretty run down.
The impossible Whopper is okay, but it defiantly does not taste like the Whopper. It may have fewer calories, but it's only 5% less than a Whopper (Whopper has 660 calories, Impossible Whopper 630) and Impossible Whopper has a lot of added fats and sodium. Barely a more nutritious alternative. Plus it cost more.
