Ranking the best hamburger can be more contentious than the top 100 rankings! Selecting the best burger can be (grounds) for some serious knock down drag out battles but that's what will make this poll more interesting.

I don't know all the local and regional chains so I am gonna go with what I know.

It is pretty hard to beat In and Out, especially for the price. Hint, at In and Out, order the buns double toasted. The extra crunch takes the burger to the next level!

    Let the Burger Battle Begin....................

If you are just going by chain restaurants I'd rank it

    1. 5 guys
    2. Culver's
    3. In and Out
    4. And surprisingly cracker barrel (maybe my expectations were so low that it biased it a little?)

Non chains have too many to even consider.

    #6 4 years ago

    I vote for 5 Guys.

    #7 4 years ago

We used to really like Bobby Flay's Burger Palace when they first opened, but the place has gone downhill little by little ever since, so the nod goes to Five Guys.

If you're ever on Long Island, try All American in Massapequa. It's a standalone place, not a chain, but they're great and pretty well-known even outside of New York.

    5 guys.

Whataburger and In-n-Out, I wish we had either one up here.

Grilled at home with all the condiments.

    Whataburger (#1 spot for me)
    5 Guys

    McDowell’s

Yes, I prefer them for having no seeds.

5 Guys and In and Out burgers are both delicious. However, In and Out fries are nothing special. Additionally, free peanuts at 5 Guys.

    5G FTW

    #23 4 years ago

5 Guys good. In N Out kinda bland. Habit's good. Micky Ds new fresh meat 1/4 pounder very good. But the best is that Hawaiian burger joint.

I have a hard time with the Hoff burger at Carls Jr. lately because it's like they cooked the meat yesterday. But years ago they were great.

    #27 4 years ago

I've had the Five Guys burger on 2 different occassions. Nothing good to say about it from me. Smashburgers? Really? HAHAHAHAHAHA

I had one yesterday with grilled onions, grilled jalapanos, grilled mushrooms, lettuce and tomato and it was great. Chocolate malt and their fries are 1000 times better than In N Out.

I've got four In N Outs around here and never go to any of them.

Guy Fierieee burger on a cruise ship

We used to have a Teddy's burgers until recently which was an actual Hawaiian burger joint and it was absolutely the best. So good, you could order your burger rare and not have to worry about it. They are gone now though.

    #31 4 years ago

Love BurgerFi. Only ones I know of are in Winter Park and Lake Mary.

    5 Guys

    #33 4 years ago

I'd like to try all the burgers mentioned we don't have here. I always see out of towners saying they wish they had an In N Out, but when you live close to them they really aren't that special. Doesn't stop people from lining up to get them though. Mostly because they are cheap and fresh I guess. Or mostly because they are cheap.

I haven't done Fuddruckers in a while but they used to be really good too.

I kinda like Freddy’s Steakburger, tied with 5 Guys and In N Out. Let’s face it though, nothing beats a homemade burger fresh off the grill.

Your In and Out is losing out to 5 Guys as expected. I don't know if there is a Hamburger Habit, but we have one simply called

No Fuddruckers? I'm a big fan of their 1lb burger w/bacon & cheese. One of these days they'll be hauling me out of there in a meat wagon.

Are you talkin about Rumbi Grills Kahuna Burger? They're excellent.

I used to eat there all the time when I worked in El Toro. They had a CFTBL there as well. Closest one's by Knotts Berry Farm now, so I really don't get there. I'd love to have one nearby.

I was talking about Pulp Fiction. lol.

But Teddy's was the best damn Hawaiian burger joint I ever ate at.

I'm not joking .If you have a Rumbi Grill in CA try it out. They are one of the best I've had. I swear you can eat one and that's enough for a whole day.

    #46 4 years ago

Closest one's in Arizona. And if I'm going that far it's Waffle House baby!

    #47 4 years ago

Lots of these have fine burgers, but only Five Guys has good burgers AND great fries. Culver’s is my local fave since I don’t live near a 5G.

And really great shakes. Not many places offer a malt option anymore. But 5 Guys sure does.

    #49 4 years ago

Anyone try the impossible whopper at Burger King yet?

    #50 4 years ago

Five Guys is winning this poll? Really? Every time I’ve been there I say “never again” when I leave. Maybe I’m just hitting the shitty ones. I am a burger snob and a fat ass though and say never again out the door of a lot of burger places.
