Looking at pinball bulbs.com
IMO, to get that out of the way, all you need is to add star post($2) and some star post LEDs($6) under the sling post. The game is the darkest down by the flippers. I added them only to the lowest of post and they improved the playability a ton.

Any pics you could post or a little vid?
Thanks!
Quoted from lordloss:Any mods for a WOZ, if I had one, would have to be connected to the gameplay. It looks nice, but it feels like two flash lights be the slings and takes away from the gameplay.
Being able to see the ball take away from gameplay?
Quoted from sepins:Anyone comment on the $120 kit from pinball bulbs.com
I love mine…..I can play in a dark room now. I think it's a must!
Taylor would you mind showing a few pictures close up and what you have done?
I gettying my le in a week and i also think the game looks very dark. 125 dollar is alot however! Not sure if its worth it or if your fix is good.
Thanks in advance.

Would really like to see how you wired it up!
I just used alligator clips to the coin door inserts but there is a 3 or 4 pin molex from the coindoor that I plan on connecting to but have been meaning to add another set of post to the upper post.

When all the other LED's on the table turn off and these are still bright is not something that I personally don't like.
Love my pinballbulbs mod. Gives the game an awesome glow. When we went to the open house at JJP and my son-in-law played the machines there, we came back to the house and played mine. As soon as it turned on, he said "Wow! What a difference." It really is. I'm sure the starposts help, but you still have dark spots further up the PF. Also, the GI mod from pinballbulbs has a LED strip behind the flippers by the ball trough which lights up that whole lower area, even before the spotlights on the slings. Expensive but well worth it.

Have you spent a lot of time on a WOZ? Have you played one with star post LEDs?
I've played this machine before and after thus mod. It is a real improvement and helps with gameplay. There was not one complaint about the lights during Taylor's recent tournament.

The wires that light the coin slots?

Yep. That was the easiest place to pull voltage from. The rest of the lights are all on pcbs.

Thanks for all your help and Happy New Year!
If you ever come to Tampa give me a heads up as I'm pretty well hooked up down here...LOL

After getting my STLE I need more lighting on WOZ!
Something just seems wrong to have all the LEDs on WoZ and it is so dark
The light posts are interesting. But they won't crank out enough light to totally light up the play field. If you are wanting some cool effect, definitely get them. But if you want to really light your play field, I think the pinballbulbs kit is the only ready to go option. Of course I'm biased here

Anything intending to throw general light should not turn off during the game. These effects aren't for light show but instead for general lighting. Note that the only mode currently that disables lighting is "lights out 2x scoring". Even this mode does not disable the three JJP provided spotlights. It's not intended to be a play in the dark mode. It's intended as a "turn off all the inserts now good luck figuring out what to shoot at" mode.

Please tell me English isn't your first language!

Big difference between reflected light and direct light. WOZ is pretty much all direct light (inserts) with minimal reflected light (GI tubes). If we could turn the insert brightness down a lot, the pf and ball would be easier to see.
Quoted from hank527:Where do you tap the 12 volt power for the container led post lights on wow?
If it were me, I'd go for the 12v from one of the existing spotlights

Oops, I'll try and work another negative into that sentence so make it even out.

I have already had that layout a half a dozen times, and similar code even more times.
