So I lost a couple fingers in '97 and couple weeks later Janes Addiction was playing at Miami Bayfront Park Amphitheatre and had to go with a friend (couldn't drive stick shift) and we got there late and got no seat, had to lean on raised platform out back. I was bummed. About 5-6 songs into the show the lights go out and everyone is screaming this and that and when the lights go back on, there was the band on the little stage we were leaning on. They did a 5-6 song acoustic set right in front of us, went from the worst seats in the house, to the best. Awesome. The dancers on stage were quite a treat also. Great show.

Freddie Mercury grabbed the audience from the moment he took the stage and never let up, backed by a phenomenal band. The early years were darker shows, which I loved, Freddie changed from black to white, Brian played with that sixpence pick on his homemade guitar and reveled in no synthesizers. Deacons base and Rogers drums propelled the band, perfect. The audience sang every song, shows were electrifying, you left with goosebumps.
Freddies vocal range will never be matched, one of the best frontman, simply amazing.

ps. great/fun video, hadn't seen it before.

Quoted from o-din:

Just that you were able to remember them all makes my head spin.

I used to photograph a lot and kept most of my ticket subs, helps with my aging memory. I do remember different things from most shows, Lollapaloozas, not so much, cept that I had a good time.

Quoted from poppapin:

What, no Kinks?

Bands that I regretfully missed, a few I still have a chance:

Jimi Hendrix
Janis Joplin
Beatles
Modest Mouse
Built To Spill
Belly/Breeders/Tanya Donelly
Buried Alive
Cactus
Dada
Dandy Worhols
Daniel Dax
Deep Purple
Deerhoof
Donovan
Emerson Lake and Palmer
Gong
Gordian Knot
Kings X
Kinks
Marilyn Manson
Marillion
Morphine
Nirvana
Oceansize
Pineapple Thief
Riverside
Rolling Stones
Silversun Pickups
Trapeze
Van Halen
Stevie Ray Vaughn
Robert Wyatt
Frank Zappa

Bands I've seen is not really that many when you look at it as 43 years and about 475 bands = approximately 10 - 11 per year. Just makes me an old fart.

Been lovin' Steppin Stones lately. Going to see this young band for the 3rd time on the 16th at Terra Fermata in Stuart, lots of fun. Hannah's awesome. Check em out if they're in your neck of the woods.

My first festival aged 15, the whole thing blew my mind! So many highlights from that weekend.

WOW, I count at least 25 bands that I would love to see, and they were all at one festival, simply amazing. Lucky dog, going to be hard to beat that show ever. Definitely mind blowing.

Saw Porcupine Tree/Steven Wilson 7 times now, all time favorite for me, love every album, loved every show.
Lucky enough to get the setlists 6 out of 7 shows. Fear of a Dark Planet was so awesome, I flew up to Ohio to see it again with my brother. Every show stellar.

2001 - P.T. - Lightbulb Sun Tour - Nearfest - Zollner Art Center, Lehigh University, Bethlehem , Pennsylvania
2005 - P.T. - Deadwing Tour - House of Blues - Cleveland, Ohio setlist
2007 - P.T. - Fear of a Dark Planet Tour - House of Blues - Orlando, Florida setlist
2007 - P.T. - Fear of a Dark Planet Tour - House of Blues - Cleveland, Ohio setlist
2010 - P.T. - The Incident Tour - House of Blues - Orlando, Florida setlist
2011 - Steven Wilson - Grace For Drowning Tour - House of Blues - Orlando, Florida setlist
2016 - Steven Wilson - Hand Cannot Erase Tour - Plaza Live - Orlando, Florida setlist

Agree about Steven, Methos. I have 28 albums from this guy (Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson, Blackfield, and No Man), all are amazing, no other artist comes close. He also worked with Opeth, etc., etc., etc.

Quoted from o-din:

Gotta love those prices on that Zep ticket stub.
$10.95 + $.55 tax= $11.50 . I think mine was $10.00 lol.
Now you get some antique bands on reunion tours charging well over $100.

Prices are crazy these days, my Led Zep tics were $7.50 in '75...............just bought 2 tickets for wifes birthday to see Joe Bonamassa ....$377.89

Although I also picked up 2 tickets for the Jeff Beck, Paul Rogers and Ann Wilson show at Palm Beach Amphitheatre for $40. Super deal.
