Quoted from jesster64:You beat me to the punch j_m. Box after box to collect all the freakies. Could never find boss moss.
Ok I'm really putting my nerd hat on now....
Yes Boss Moss was probably the hardest one to find. I used to have a full set that I used for a board game we made in grade school. Don't know who ended up with the game, but they have my set. These are the extras I still have tucked away. The green guy on the right is rubber, not plastic. Don't remember where I got him.
Quoted from golfingdad1:What no mention of cap'n crunch berries . Still tore up the top of your mouth.
That's what I didn't like about cap'n crunch.
Quoted from j_m_:I'm really surprised that with all of the "throw-back" versions of pepsi, mountain dew and retro packaging for cereal, that the cereal companies haven't thought about running a few promotions where the toys are the exact same as those that we got in the boxes from the late 60's, early 70's
Like this?
Quoted from Captain_Tilter:Fruity pebbles hands down man..
Fruity pebbles are awesome in rice krispie bars, btw
That sub was pretty cool...just add baking soda and submerge.
Another fun one was a boat with a balloon on top you blow up and watch it go. Probably the one I played with the most though was those stupid little tops that turn over and spin on their posts.
Quoted from j_m_:god, that cereal smelled horrible, but it didn't stop us from eating it!
I forgot about that. Fruity Freakies smelled even worse.
Quoted from pacmanretro:Hell ya!
Come on...tell me nobody else as a kid insisted on complete crap ass cereal to their parents (knowing it sucked) just for the toy advertised!???
Now you get crap and no toy#
I totally did. I wanted the cereal that had a record on the box. Always turned out to be Honeycombs which I hated.
Quoted from Cybergoonie:Boom. The movie, the McDonald's tie ins, the toys, the Prince Soundtrack, and of course the Captain Crunch tasting bat emblem cereal pretty much encompassed my entire childhood.
Oh man if that was like Cap'n Crunch those pointed bat shapes would've ripped the roof of your mouth to shreds.
