    I hear you. I measured my Dodge Caliber, thinking a pin would fit...by 1" it does not.
    If I take the latch off the car and scrape the top. it will fit....close so close....

    I recommend buy what you like, get a hitch and a uhual rental enclosed for $20.
    better then car damage.
