Used to live in KC. I move around a lot and that is easily my favorite place I’ve lived. Joe’s in great as above mentioned. It’s a bit more mainstream but I really enjoyed the burnt ends at Jack Stack. If going for other meals, I love the brookside area. Bella Napoli is great Italian, Heirloom has terrific baked goods and breakfast biscuits, and the Roasterie location there has awesome coffee.
